Empire revival era, a glamorous sewing necessaire in fine silver with 18k gold vermeil, scissors, silk winder, spool, stiletto and most of a gloriously beautiful needle case, missing a thimble and bodkin. The silk embroidered pin and needle cushion is lovely, and the original mirror still rests in the interior lid. Original thick silk pad remains, as well, to protect tools and mirror. The case is wood with leather, gold embossed, larger than most of these we've found, and remains in very fine condition. Working clasp holds it tightly shut. Full measurements noted on the photos.

Very good to excellent condition for age and type, considering the 2 1/2 missing pieces (thimble, bodkin, and cap for the needle case). The bodkin and thimble should be no problem to replace, but the lid to the needle case might be nearly impossible. Still, priced as it is and very beautiful. The look of fine 18k gold sets, but affordable. Interior and silk pad are clean, and outer case, etui, is remarkably unscathed.
