Delightful antique Creil et Montereau faience earthenware or pottery three piece 7 7/8" cabinet or 'story' plate set: "Theatre Des Marionnettes" with ornate musical instrument themed blue & white borders and figural comedy scenes! Each of these is numbered and has a unique center scene, all with matching borders. The subtitles are as follows: "Polichinelle Retire Du Monde" (Punchinello Withdraws from the World), "Le Tonneau Du Diable" (The Barrel of the Devil) and "Les Deux Amis" (The Two Friends). All have matching maker marks that date between 1884-1920 and read "B & Cie. Depose, Creil et Montereau".
