A gentleman's vest pocket "necessaire", Complete but for the handle to the knife, spoon, fork implements. The tip of the handle is there, but the mechanism into which the piece mount is not. Otherwise, this one is complete, which is quite rare, indeed. The outer case has a silver top and framework that is beautifully contrasted by the leather casing on the wooden bottom of the case. Fitted out perfectly for the implements you see, it's incredible that so many tools for travel could have fit into such a small case. You see them all, including a draftsman's ruler that is hinged in center; a toothpick with an ear wax spoon on it's opposite end. These cases fascinate me, and I've collected them for decades, have them all coming up for sale as I downsize. Mark our shop and come back often. And look for those we've already got listed (each sold separately). The measurements are noted on the photos.

Very good to excellent condition for age and type, with almost every single original piece. The one flaw notable is that, while the end piece to the handle which would fit the screw-mount tools is there in its designated place, the extension of that handle is not. Still, the scissors are rare, and so it the medicine spoon and that hinged draftsman's ruler. Loaded! And the leather and silver are each nicely preserved, as well.
