Not normally what pops into mind when thinking of fine dining table service but skewers or "hatelet" are as elegant as can be and versatile. Over the years, we've accumulated quite a few of these. Often as individuals or pairs so we've gone through and tried to group them the more 'similar' pieces and offer them here. Normally, they're not overly frilly and so the similarity often comes at the ringed ends, some with varying shapes or styles and so there's the method we used. This set with simple rounded ends, pierced for the rings (also silver) but the actual blades have a central ridge like the blade of a sword and they're marked or stamped "MD". All bear French hallmarks for solid silver. Those on the pieces you see here are the post-1938 Minerve or Minerva hallmarks. An elegant addition to your fine dining experience!
Very good condition, age considered. The images are large and clear so look closely. Some may have slight bends or subtly bent tips but we've passed on any pieces with more flaws than that. Measurements and weights are listed on the images themselves.
