In toleware, the dark painted bodies of the pair in sort of a gun metal gray-green and mounted in gold cast ornamental handles, base, finials, these are 11 1/2" tall with their lids on, other full measurements are noted on the photos. Typically thought of as mantel garnitures, quite often a dried floral arrangement would be elaborately created for each and the lids displayed beside or leaning on the base. If you wanted to do fresh flowers, a flower pot of glass liner - something, should be used. They are not waterproof and also would deteriorate if water is kept inside.
Very good to excellent condition for age and type, a wonderful decorator item, particularly in the color and form - works in modern as well as more traditional decor. I've had these a very long time, photos from 2015, but I keep thinking I need to get them from the warehouse and do other photos than those our prior photographer did for us. Listing will encourage us to get that done. That warehouse is the MOST fun to 'shop' really, and we're still pulling superb items out to list each week.
