These are so rare to find! The 19th century hand carved goblets (some say they were sewing items, holding ball of crochet thread or knitting yarn), we've had a few that are slightly older than this one and are carved with small human figures rather than animals. This one is mid-late 1800s, and the figural ones predate and bring surprisingly high prices from collectors, owing to rarity. This one is 5 3/8" tall, and has a little broader cup or basket up top. Very good to excellent condition for age and type, it is complete and with hardly a single imperfection to note. Tiny tip of ear chipped on 1 rabbit (typically all rabbit ears on these old ones are broken off) and there's not a chip anywhere on that tree-supported basket top - elegant work, carved rim. Slender long leaves, a couple of those have tips chipped (see photos). We've shown it from all angles for your enjoyment and inspection. Entirely carved from a single piece of wood, of course.
