For wall or table, these Victorian English blue transferware platters and plates have become highly sought after, shown in all the decorator magazines, and it's easy to see why. They're like country manor paintings, visually rich and pleasing. This large one can go from wall to table, is large at 15 3/4" x 12 7/8" oval and 1 1/2" in depth. Heavy 'ironstone', bordered in elegant florals framing in a country pastoral.

Very good to excellent condition for age and type, I can see and have pointed out one rough spot that looks a bit like a chip or perhaps a flaw of origin, or rough spot resulting from too-tight platter hanging apparatus. I've marked it for your review, and it's at about the 5:30 o'clock position on the outer rim. Otherwise, just a dream. Pattern is marked on back, but not certain which of the Staffordshire potteries created it.
