Delightful antique to vintage Egyptian hallmarked sterling silver 5 3/8" long desk or bedside oil lamp, mostly likely a novelty themed cigar or cigarette lighter with a lovely figural serpent handle and wonderful visual & decorative appeal! Dare we rub it? I could sure use three wishes right about now. This one came to us from France but bears hallmarks from Egypt, perhaps purchased on someone's own Grand Tour style vacation. What appears to be an unused but usable wick in the end, a wick portion also attached to the lid/final that can be removed and ignited to light the cigar, pipe or whatever. It doesn't appear to have ever been used so, if you decide to, do so at your own risk :). A lovely little decorative piece, genie not included (we think).
Very good condition. A few small dark tarnish spots but no dents, damage or repairs to note. See pictures for all measurements.
