One of the prettiest of my longtime collection purses, this one shimmers a deep rainbow of colors in any light. Laid flat, it is 11.5" long, counting the thick beadwork tassel at bottom. It's a round bag, and filled it will puff out as you see it in our images, the draw-string double original cords closing it beautifully with their original large bead and gilt metal ornament still on each. The interior of the bag, if it ever had a lining, no longer does have a liner. It's actually usable as you see it. I've turned it inside out so you can see that it's a crocheted bag. A fringe of beads near the top just add to the beauty.  One of my favorite bags. I know some say these were also tobacco or pipe pouches, so I will mention it has no scent to it at all.

Very good to excellent condition, age and type considered. I've used this one a few times, and there are no holes and no areas of loss to the beadwork. It's sturdy, very well-cared for through time and survives from c.1900-1920s in rare fine form.
