Fabulous artist's rendering of a early c.1830s beauty, perfectly styled hairstyle of her time with bottle curls and ribbon extensions. The painting is exceptional and perfectly preserved, signed in symbol by the artist (see images) and with notations on frame's back which note Vienna. The frame is original to the painting which is housed under a convex cover glass appropriate to original state. Measurements noted on the photos.
Very good to excellent condition throughout for age and type, though someone has used tape at some point on the backing, leaving marks. It is the original fabric covered backing, as well. The detail in this painting and the quality of the image is superb for a painting so small. Her face is just 5/8" from chin to hairline.
