Such a sweet little silhouette of a baby, child, toddler, this one is painted rather than cut of black paper, and it is signed by the artist, Pompon, c.1919. The outer frame is 3 3/4" in diameter and 3/8" thick - a wood frame with access through the backside. A flat cover glass protects the little painting, which is 3 1/8" in diameter. Charming little treasure! Found in France.
Very good to excellent for age and type. There are a couple of imperfections on the heavy paper on which the little painting is done, as you can see. The frame is original and in nice condition with hanging loop in place. Whether you collect silhouettes, portrait miniatures or images of children, it's really a sweet one.
