A pair of hand carved panels from cabinetry or paneling, now ready to make over into doors for your own cabinets, or frame as art for your walls. These are a pair, long and vertical in orientation and with flanking repeats of the motif. Would be fabulous with moulding around them and just mounted on cabinet fronts, or as doors to a custom cabinet for bathroom. I've always had in mind to build in a recessed wine cabinet with these. Have not yet done so at home. They sell as quickly as we can find them. This pair are recently in from France with a larger shipment.
Very good to excellent, each one of the pair - no chips on the bas relief carving. One short hairline rising up from bottom of one of the old old panels, marked with an 'x'. You can see they had once been the center portion of cabinetry or paneling, and a outer perimeter change in finish would represent frame or moulding. My guesstimate would be earliest 1900s, and they remain in undamaged condition. Full measurements noted on photos.
