These wonderful whimsical liqueur serving sets from mid-1800s France are always a fun decorative and table detail and are rare to find. We've had Blackamoors (few) and a few camels and elephants. I have another couple of these to list in weeks ahead, but this small one for just 4 persons is a charming little camel with a BIG barrel on his back and hooks for 4 perfectly preserved little shot cups to hang. More a decorative one, as this one is missing a stopper to the barrel (not hard to replace) and also the handle for the spigot (which would be slightly harder to replace). But the enameled glassware is a delight and sure to catch an eye from your visiting guests. Cute little guy!
Very good condition for age and type, with all glassware showing no chips or cracks at all. The stopper is missing on the barrel and so is the cross-bar for the spigot valve so until he gets a little upkeep, he's mostly decorative. With his multi-colored mouth-blown glassware, enameled and jewel-like, he's just a fun addition to your side table or bar. Base is weighted, there are no breaks in metal or wire and he even has his ring and chain still fully intact. Great item!
