Lovely antique French sterling silver 2" napkin ring, 95% pure silver with ornate guilloche style machined or engraved floral decoration and interlaced "CM" or "MC" monogram! This one bears the French Minerve or Minerva hallmark, the tiny number "1" within that mark (obscured by the machined pattern) means it's 1st quality for .950 silver content (95% pure and higher than the .925 standard for sterling silver). I've looked it over pretty closely and have not found a silversmith mark but it surely dates to the late 1800s.
