Ready to frame or display, this beautiful scene dates to 19th century, possibly earliest 1900s. There's no signature showing on the painting, though a gallery or submission paper on backside begins to show the artist. The painting remains nicely stretched, seems to have a couple of ancient restorations I've shown you front and back in our photos for your evaluation. Full measurements noted on our photos.
Very good to excellent condition for age and type, and just in from France, it's a soothing lovely village landscape we'd all love to be walking through. As noted above, from back one can see a couple of old restoration patches, and I've turned to the front to detail each spot - very small and nicely done, not drawing the eye. Ready to display as it is, as the French often did and this one has been displayed - without frame. Or ready to be framed to your tastes.
