Charming miniature oil paintings, 2, French countryside with farmhouse and a pond. Late 1800s, have an impressionist feel to them. Painted in oil on heavy card, no damage to the paintings by way of torn canvas or crackle which sometimes occurs with stretched canvas. Lovely for a bookshelf, an intimate desk lamp display on wall, or, as noted, for your doll's art collection. Bru doll, furnishings, my guess. Aren't they just perfectly lovely!
Very good to excellent condition, ready to hang and perfect for a doll's house. They are each 7 1/2" x 5" and are 5/8" deep (gilt wood frame). Held in place with the tiny old framer's nails, and a notation on back but no signature. You are buying both paintings in this offering. They should stay together.
