Fabulous antique French hallmarked .800 (nearly sterling) silver 4 1/4" wide mantilla style hair comb, ornament or tiara with engraved floral decoration and hallmarks all over the place! One of two just in from France and they're both just lovely! Hair jewelry for sure and in French silver, who could ask for more. Slightly different in size but the bear the French Minerve or Minerva hallmarks, the tiny number "2" within those marks means they're in .800 (or better) silver (80% pure and just under the .925 standard for "sterling" silver). They do also bear tiny French silversmith marks but I've not been able to find reference for them as of listing. Very good condition. If you look very closely, you can see a few small dimples in the bulb/bead type frame decoration. No there damage that I can see. See pictures for weight and measurements.
