Huge pair, heavy Baccarat or Saint Louis vase pair with 4" squared fluted mouth and 6" diameters in heavy glass, they stand 10 1/2" tall, each. Dating to Belle Epoch, c.1900, they have survived unscathed, and all of that luxurious hand painted raised gold enamel is intact. The old work is the best work! They're mould blown or worked to alternate waves in the thickness of the glass which results in them casting undulating rays of light. I've tried to show that in a photo, but I am first to admit I don't photograph glass or crystal to its best advantage. They beg to be on table with your raised gold French porcelain dinnerware! Full measurements noted on photos.

Excellent condition for age and type, there are no nips, chips or hairlines anywhere. The raised gold enamel work is remarkably complete and unscathed. I can see there are surface abrasions on the base lip where it has rested upon surfaces, but not any scratches otherwise. A truly remarkable set of 2, they'll each hold several dozen roses. A full 4" squared rim, and 6" diameter bulbous bottom - they're exceptionally stable and sturdy, and heavy! Found in France, of course.
