1830s - 1840 English Staffordshire pottery, this one by T J & J Mayer, Longport, Baronial Halls 18" platter, light blue transferware stoneware, stone china, wonderful for decorating or for use. This is a beauty!
Very good condition for age and type. Thick and heavy, it's survived nearly 200 years with only a single chip to rim, bottom edge, noted with an 'x' on our photos for your review. A little spot of original transfer/glaze blur, not a flaw to the platter but part of the charm of the way these were made.
