Lovely antique French 18k gold on sterling silver "vermeil" & wheel cut glass desk or table top vase, cache pot or single serving demi-bottle wine cooler with Empire style laurel garland, crossed ribbon pattern and wonderful condition!  The use of this one is basically only limited by your imagination.  It appears that it would likely have had a lid originally but, alas, it hasn't survived as well as the remaining piece you see.  Perfect to hold a small bouquet, desk top candies, pens or even cigars.  It bears the French Minerve or Minerva hallmark in several places, the tiny number "1" within those marks means it's in .950 silver under the gold plating (95% pure silver and higher than the .925 standard for "sterling" silver).  The silversmith marks are for Robert Linzeler & Piault, Paris circa 1897-1926.  Fabulous, don't let this one pass you by!

Very good to excellent condition.  As noted above, it appears by the flange inside the rim that this one likely had a lid originally.  No damage to the silver fittings, no chips or cracks to the glass.  A bit of wear or fading to the vermeil but, as you can see, this one is as near pristine as can be.  See pictures for measurements.
