Elegant antique French Napoleon III or Victorian era hallmarked sterling silver 4pc condiment or hors d'oeuvres serving implement set, subtle but ever so elegant and all in wonderful condition! One of only a handful of sets that we currently have available, this one with solid genuine ivory handles and solid sterling silver blades, bowls, etc. The sterling portions bear French Minerve or Minerva hallmarks (the tiny number “1” in the upper right corner of those marks means they’re all in .950 silver, 95% pure so over the .925 standard for “sterling” silver). The silversmith marks are for Joseph Adoue´, 22 rue Saint-Sauveur, Paris circa 1857-1877. A lovely set!
Very good condition. There are a few hairline age or drying cracks visible on the backs of the ivory handles. See images for all weights and measurements.
