Elegant antique French 1819-1838 hallmarked Louis XVI to Louis Philippe era sterling silver & thick blown glass open salt PAIR with acanthus accenting, Celtic style pattern around bases and macaroon accented ball & claw feet!  This pair just in from Europe and aren't they wonderful!  Beautifully shaped glass wells with tons of tiny air bubbles and those lion busts and ball & claw feet are fabulous. Both pieces bear the French Michel-Ange or Michelangelo hallmark dating between 1819-1838, the tiny number "1" within those marks means they're in .950 silver (95% pure and so just above the .925 standard for "sterling" silver). The silversmith marks are "L. Dupré" for Charles Louis Dupré, Paris circa early 1800s. Fantastic, don't miss them!

Very good condition. Not sure if the glass wells are original but they're in great shape, no chips or cracks and just those tiny are bubbles keeping them from being flawless. No damage or repairs to the sterling silver base/stands. See pictures for all measurements.
