A beautiful antique French worked silk and metallic thread on silk embroidery ecclesiastical robe, stole, chasuble, Catholic vestment in creamy white and gold, a needlepoint medallion attached to each side. The lining is a dark claret red to almost purple moire silk. Entirely hand sewn, the needlepoint medallion with cross and decorative border, in wool and silk yarn, is edged in gold metallic cord and woven braid edging, trimmed out in superb 2" long gold metallic fringe. Lining seems to be a heavy silk, also.  Whether for display or wear, or to make up into opulent throw pillows - this one was found in France. I am not Catholic, and ask forgiveness if I've called it by the wrong name. Shown front and back, and our measurements are noted on the photos.

Very good to excellent condition for age and type, this one dates late 1800s to earliest 1900s, and is antique. Heavy moire silk satin with the 2 medallions of needlepoint embroidery in wool yarns worked separately then affixed directly on it. The edge trim is a gold metallic thread fringe passementerie, also antique French. excellent  panels, both sides. No odor. We have several other stoles and alter cloths available, some shown with this one in final photo - all pieces offered and sold separately.
