Antique hand carved Grand Tour souvenir, likely, from someone's late 1800s trip to Switzerland's Black Forest. This one is remarkably clean and damage-free. The lush thick tuck/tufted silk interior is so beautiful! Photos show it well. Measurements are noted on photos.
Very good to excellent condition throughout. A tiny leaf tip missing on the bas relief carved floral bouquet up top, and a light moisture stain on silk side, right as you look at it from open position. Very little for a box this old. So pretty!
