The carvers of Switzerland and Black Forest artisans created multiples of this famous symbol or mascot of the beautiful city of Lucerne, the Lucerne Lion. This one is particularly nice, and dates later 1800s to perhaps as late as 1930. I've been to the stunning city of Lucerne, and can attest to the stunning beauty awaiting the tourist there. This might be the most fitting souvenir. Full measurements are noted on the photos.
Very good to excellent condition for age and type, I find no flaws nor chips, cracks to disclose. It has a dark wood stain (see the lighter wood grain in bottom view) and is clean and has no oder - sometimes wood, and Black Forest items absorb an odor of smoke, depending on the homes in which they've spent a century or so. We only buy the best!
