Delightful antique Victorian era Black Forest hand carved 7 1/8" tall pocket watch, portrait miniature or pendant display stand, a rare fox figure with black metal or glass bead eyes and wonderful visual & decorative appeal! Of course, this would originally have been a pocket watch holder, desk or dressing table top display but wouldn't it be fabulous holding an old hand painted portrait miniature? The fox also one of the more rare of the Black Forest critters. Carved from a solid block of wood, imagine the painstaking process of whittling it down to the treasure you see here!
Very good condition, age considered. There are a few small chips but, most notable, are the age or drying splits visible in the base. See pictures for all measurements.
