Pulled from my antique jewelry stashes - SO much to work through! This set of 18mm micro mosaics set in 14k gold mounts began their life as something other than earrings. Perhaps sections of a bracelet or necklace. I bought them like this, adapted with 14k gold ear wires, slightly long but hang nicely, the wire worked through a metal pipe-like mounting (see photos). The micro mosaics are very old, super-tiny colored glass tesserae, sand-sized. Colorful bouquets set into a basin of onyx, not a tesserae missing in either. Full measurements noted on the photos.
Very good condition for age and type, they are not cracked, and no breaks. With our enlarged photos you might see very very tiny nips at the beveled edge, more to be felt, as they aren't enough to show in the hand. The gold is crafted in a beautiful form, and remains lovely. As noted, the way they've been made into earrings is more recent - though I've had them for 30 years and it was an old 'fix' by then. Elongated ear wire, they wear quite pretty and almost like a little dangle, some movement as you walk. Very pretty! The box is not included, only one of my props for photos.
