Somewhere through the past 30 years we acquired this sewing necessaire, case or set, and then moved heavily into French. I believe this little darling is more likely English in origin, and c. 1850-80s, mid to late Victorian. Very nice blue enameled metal outer hinged case if fitted well inside and retains nearly all the original sewing tools. A couple of open spots for you to fill. Contains original mirror, thimble, scissors, needle case and bone stiletto/punch. Plenty of photos for your review, and full measurements are noted on the photos. Priced to go!
Very good condition for age and type, shows beautifully. Not all of the original sewing and vanity tools remain with it. You can see it can be added to from your antique sewing bits. Hinge and clasp each working well. Some age to the metal, as shown. No dents, blue enamel is complete.
