Lovely antique Victorian to early Edwardian era gilt embossed burgundy or cordovan leather covered wood jewelry or desk box, an elegant casket with double door facade & original blue silk or satin interior, drawer & working lock with old skeleton key! One of two leather 'veneered' jewelry boxes that we're adding this week, the other black with gold accenting. This one unique with the tantalus style double front doors. Lid and doors open to a blue silk or satin lined interior top compartment with drawer beneath. Round brass double escutcheons (one faux) with brass tack feet. Very fine.
Very good condition. Some scuffing to the edges here & there and a few imperfections but no structural damage, working lock & key and the interior lining is pristine. See pictures for all measurements.
