Elegant antique French Napoleon III era sterling silver bachelor or solitaire sized coffee or tea pot with sleek baluster shaping, foliate accented medallions on each side with no monograms and gorgeous serpentine handle & spout! This one holds 22oz and would have been meant as a service for one or two so PERFECT for the current state of things where we're all hunkering down trying to get this pandemic past us. Just in from France, it bears the French Minerve or Minerva hallmark in a few places, the tiny number "1" within those marks means it's in .950 silver (95% pure so higher than the .925 standard for "sterling" silver). The silversmith mark is partially obscured, as if struck because the maker was going out of business perhaps? In any event, I recognize the six stars above and below and it's surely for Auguste Louis Fizaine of Paris, circa 1858-1879. A beautiful smaller pot, spoil yourself!
Very good condition. A small dimple or two and one slightly larger one on the lower curve of the spout but no larger dents, damage or repairs to note. See pictures for weight and all measurements.
