Antique French jewelry tree or sewing spool holder, extra large at 8.5" tall, parrot and exotic bird perched on the stand. Photos show it well. I've had smaller ones of these, sold to me as jewelry stands for bedside table, a 'vide poche' or empty pocket. The unique little candle cup up top indicates it's also a 'go to bed', to hold a small candle. You'll find the perfect way to use it - pocket watch stand, a sewing thread spool stand.
Very good to excellent condition throughout. The parrot is chained to the bird perch sculpture as you see it. A little accessory item from 19th century France. I see no flaws to report. It has a dark bronze patina.
