We found this one in France - it's a gorgeous 19th century to perhaps as late as c.1920 hand carved wood frame with original 'wavy' glass still in place. It awaits your photo or perhaps a mirror - that aperture is 8 1/4" x 6 1/4". The outer frame measures 20 3/8" tallest and 15 1/2" widest., and the depth of the frame with it's carving and raised ornamentation is about 1 3/4".  Beautifully detailed with vines and leaves and blossoms against a black stained recess.

Very good to excellent condition for age and type, it's amazing to me that it hasn't a lot of chips and losses, all those extension carved bits, but it's really quite complete as you can see. It's got the old original slightly wavy 'laid' glass, another indication it's probably hung on a wall for 100 years or more. You can see one hairline crack to top left of the frame. From backside view, you can see it and also a slight indication of the joint of the front piece boards, which is not a flaw, but an aspect of its construction.  No odor, has been freshly treated with light wipe of beeswax to help preserve the old wood.
