A single large and lush decorator pillow. Designer crafted, embroidered (silk, I think) and velvet appliqués sofa pillow. The silky fabric is a bit iridescent ranging between gold and pink/lavendar in the movement of light across it). Zipper back reveals a fresh clean pillow insert which feels like feather and down combination. The edging is piping of pale lavender velvet, which is repeated in an arabesque along the outer perimeter of the pillow. Definitely a one-of-a-kind decorator creation. Found in a LaJolla estate. Iii is 19" x 18" and has 4" passementerie tassels at corners.
Very good to excellent, clean and fresh in spite of it being vintage. Entirely hand crafted custom work, there is a zipper hidden on backside in case you wish to replace the feather/down filler pillow with straight down (my preference). Puffy and full, yet creases nicely at top, as you can see in our photos. Pulls from the colors surrounding it, no fade - that is the natural iridescence of the fabric which changes coloration. Gorgeous designer's creation. Vintage, not antique.
