Ornate antique continental .800 solid silver 3pc open salt & pepper shaker set with ornate scrolling acanthus, flower accents and original glass salt inserts! I've included a host of enlarged photos so look and enjoy. I also looked them over pretty closely for hallmarks of any kind and believe that the one shown in the images is a tiny Continental marking, likely German. Highly magnified, you can (I believe) see a small crown and possibly a "V" or "C" just below and to the left. The crown marking used in Germany and most of those works in .800 silver (80% pure silver so just under the .925 standard for "sterling" silver). No other markings that I can see but similar in their ornate style to pieces but Schleissher & Sohne of Germany, dating to the 1890s. A lovely set!
Very good to excellent condition. A bit of denting or dimpling to the top of the pepper shaker and the finial is just slightly tilted. No chips or damage to the glass inserts, likely original but we can never be certain though they fit perfectly. The pepper is added via the twist-out cap on the bottom of the shaker, also solid silver. See pictures for weights and measurements.
