The beautifully hand blown and decorated cafaron pair (small decanters)would have been part of a liqueur set or aperitif set from the Napoleon III era (c.1850-70), to perhaps as late as Belle Epoch, when opulence of raised gold enamel was everywhere. Essentially a half-carafe, these are also used as place setting water decanters or wine decanters for ease at evening meal. The pair match perfectly, retain most of the hand painted raised gold enamel, and are clean and ready to use.
Very good to excellent condition for age and type, they were likely part of a set for "aperitif" or liqueur, and might have had matching small cups or liqueur stemware. Or, might have been part of a larger set for setting a fine dinner table, either wine or water service at each plate. No chips except a few on the tip of the stoppers, no cracks anywhere, and the raised gold enamel work is still very beautiful - more worn on the very top of stopper, but mostly intact on the bodies of each bottle/decanter.
