I have 2 of these, matching tiaras which were created for the sisters of a late 19th century bride. There were 2 together, very unique and matching though not exactly alike. I'll offer them separately but the information is the same. This will be #2, and #1 will be sold separately. Entirely bespoke! A metal matrix beset with very large French paste pearls, the largest in a freshwater pearl irregular shape, each one is prong-set and have lasted the test of time. You can see there is a horsehair or coarse woven panel at the headband to which I imagine was sewn a veil for the wedding. Kept as souvenirs for generations, they were recently brought out of the family chateau along with other family mementos, to include a set of 3 in blue/clear gems which we have offered and sold earlier. I do not have the family name, only the story of a wedding, and 2 sisters of the bride. Full measurements are noted on the photos.
Very good condition for age and type, with all French created or paste pearls intact and unbroken. I did clean it well, and check to be sure the faux pearls were firmly strung on their wires and unbroken, though some have light flaws of age. These are handcrafted on a sturdy metal matrix that is bendable and can be shaped a bit to one's head. One can remove the white netting, as it's only sewn on, but I'll leave it in case a bride (or her sisters) wish to use it again. You are buying 1 crown in this offering.
