From my own collections of decades: Antique 12k Gold and flat face cut garnets hair art mourning brooch, c 1780s to 1820, Georgian Era. Total weight: 2.63 grams. Plaiting of pale blond hair inside (often that is a child), and no engraving on back. I sometimes use these grouped on a jacket lapel, or clasped over a strand of pearls - so many compliments!
Very good to excellent condition for age and type. Brooch is 20 mm x 16 mm x 4 mm plus pin back, and garnets are broad face facet cut, no cracks or breaks, none missing. No breaks and no dents. Superb Georgian jewelry!
