Very good to excellent condition for age and type, Master-carver's work on this one. There are no chips nor cracks or damaged areas to have to work around. From the backside you can see the joint where the flat boards have been joined, but they remain solidly together. This would have been a door inset with thicker wood frame - a door or panel in a hutch or cabinet, or a section of paneling in some grand room. Dates 19th century, last half. Found in France.
