Elegant antique French ODIOT hallmarked sterling silver 12pc table knife set, a 2pc place setting or six with classical fluting & "Rubans Crois" or crossed ribbons pattern and original steel blades! The handles are all hallmarked sterling silver, weighted or filled of course but each bears the French Minerve or Minerva hallmark, the tiny number "1" within those marks means they're in .950 silver (95% pure and so higher than the .925 standard for "sterling" silver). Silversmith marks vary on a few of the pieces, some with the oil lamp for Odiot (1825-1894), some with "EC" for Edouard Corvasier, 12 rue des Filles Saint Thomas, Paris circa 1863-1880. A collaboration for sure as all of the blades bear the Odiot marking and we'd place them around the mid 1800s. An elegant old set, don't miss them!

Very good condition! Some slight scuffing possible and perhaps a tiny dimple or two to the silver handles but no dents or repairs to note. As noted, the blades are pre-stainless steel and do have some visible age tarnish and or faint corrosion marks as is common in the old steel pieces. See pictures for measurements.
