Petit and pristine, this little 19th century to earliest 20th century Swiss Black Forest souvenir item is a match holder. Ok, I use them for party-picks near hors-d'oeuvres plate, just for fun. We know it's a match holder striker because you see the little oval there in front, on base - it just needs a little emory board (sand paper) for use as striker. Measurements are noted on the photos.
Excellent condition on this one. I don't see a single chip to note. Rare, since it's got that extended fan tail and a sharp beak. Even the barrel rim is free of chips. Photos show it from all sides. Great Animalier movement authentic anatomy on this one, too.
