I've long been fascinated by women's arts, and of course needlework and crochet stand out among them. The tools for same range from the very simple dime store crochet hooks my grandmother used, to opulent ones like this, gift box still with it, it is antique French Sterling silver and 18k gold. Photos show it well. The box is 5 1/2" long and the tambour is about 5", one crochet hook with it. The gold sleeve un-mounts to allow changes in the crochet tip, as shown in photos.
Very good to excellent condition throughout. The box is leather, and someone at some point in time attached a sticky label to bottom, which has slightly pulled the finish from the beautiful leather in that one spot. Otherwise, it is excellent. The crochet tambour and handle remain just beautiful. Richly crafted, photos try to show how it works and the overall condition. So pretty!
