Fabulous large antique French Napoleon III or Victorian era gilt bronze & colorful champleve enamel jewelry casket, a remarkable box with attached fixtures holding the original bronze & enamel scent or perfume bottles! We've had boxes with this style of champleve enamel inlay in the past but never this HUGE! The box itself is a massive 8 1/4" x 6 3/8" and the scent bottle receptacles bring the total width to 12". An exceptional piece!
Very good condition, age considered. There are a few small spots of missing enamel and wear to the gilding on the lid portion of the box. Some loss to the enamel on the scent bottles, neither has a stopper with one having remnants of cork in the lid. The interior lining appears to be original and is aged.
