An Etruscan feel to the curled glass tesserae, the lobed border and also the profile of a woman in the carved mother of pearl cameo setting of this Edwardian era brooch. It would have been someone's c. 1880-1910 Grand Tour souvenir, surely. Full measurements noted on the photos.
Very good to excellent condition for age and type, not a chip nor lift to the custom made glass tessera of the micro mosaic frame, and no damage to the rather unique mother of pearl cameo. The red box is not included. It is only a photo prop for us.
