Lovely antique Napoleon III or Victorian to early Edwardian era 11" candle holder or candlestick pair, elegant bird or crane figures in gilt bronze or ormolu! A very Victorian theme, the depictions of animals and use of animal products were quite prominent at the time. Graceful, the figures are depicted with wings presenting, up and rearward with their long slender necks and beaks pointing toward the sky. Both in relatively heavy gilded bronze or ormolu and both in wonderful condition. Delightful decorative accents.
Very good condition. Some age to the gilding with a darker patina showing in areas. No breaks or damage that I can see, possibly a bit of wax here and there. See images for all measurements.
