Elegant antique French Empire Revival style gilded bronze & heavy wheel cut glass or crystal 4 1/4" desk top inkwell with eagle and winged mythological horse serpent figures! The thick & heavy cut glass body likely Baccarat though unmarked as so many are. Completely framed in a reticulated gilt ormolu or bronze with bows & ribbons, wreaths, winged horse serpents and even a Napoleonic style eagle at the top. Gorgeous!
Very good to excellent condition. I see no chips, cracks or damage to the glass body and no loss or damage to the bronze. Some visible remnants of what looks like a white metal, possibly silver, plating in areas. See images for all measurements.
