Fine Victorian glass beads in rich colors, florals and a peacock surrounded by wool needlepoint stitches. The panel was made, but never used. A pelmet was a decorative piece made to attach to the front of a shelf and drape down around its edge. These make such beautiful pillow tops, worked with a velvet or a moire silk fabric and either old French passementerie or more modern fringes. Measurements are noted on the photos. The old linen canvas is supple, will hold up very nicely for whatever project you take on.
