Lovely antique Victorian to Edwardian era hand carved Black Forest style 7 1/4" tall cabinet card or carte dâvisite sized picture frame with ornate reticulated or pierced scrolling tendrils or vines & foliage and wonderful condition! One of a handful of fabulous old carved picture frames that weâre listing and/or currently have available, this one likely of Black Forest origins and in what appears to be linden wood, the common medium for carvings of the area. The style a bit more classical than Black Forest though and with wonderful visual & decorative appeal. A wonderful piece, detailed carving and, as you can see, the important part is in great shape.
Very good condition. It has the original pocket style back with wooden easel stand. A small chip or two to a tendril or leaf tip. See pictures for all measurements.
