A fine large serving dish, the bowl has an impressive 8 3/8" diameter and the piece stands 6 1/8" tall with that marvelous solid silver handle! Masterfully crafted old French sterling silver, the piece weighs a HEAVY 32.9 troy ounces or 1022 grams total (lid & bowl)! The French Minerve or Minerva hallmark on the lid & handle and bowl, the tiny number "1" within those marks designates it as being in .950 silver (95% pure and higher than the .925 standard for sterling silver). Very good-excellent condition. A few tiny dimples visible in the bottom of the bowl but, as you can see, there are no larger dents, no damage or repairs to note.
