Elegant antique English hallmarked sterling silver 12pc shellfish or oyster fork set with solid shimmering mother of pearl handles and all in wonderful condition! Gorgeous! Relatively simple but as elegant as sterling flatware can be. If you're familiar with sterling flatware, you'll understand why mother of pearl handles are one of, if not the, personal favorites with their opalescent shimmering beauty, coolness to the touch and weight in hand. We normally stick to French flatware but I couldn't pass this set by given the exemplary condition and, of course, the pearl handles. All bear London hallmarks, I've not researched the silversmith marks yet but the date mark appears to be from 1905. A simply fabulous set, don't miss them!
Very good to excellent condition. Some faint surface scuffs possible, indicative of age and light use but no breaks or damage or repairs to note. No chips or cracks to the mother of pearl handles that I can see. All hallmarks to the silver are on the back sides of the silver stems except for one, as you can see in the pictures, that's on the front side. See pictures for all measurements.
