Elegant antique French sterling silver flatware set, a 5pc place setting for one in the rare "Ferule" or Gothic style pattern and with Puiforcat hallmarks! The pattern here has always been a popular one with the Neo-Gothic style tenders and forks with three tines. The set consists of larger dinner sized fork, spoon and knife and then the smaller luncheon, salad or entremet fork & spoon. All but the knife bear the French Minerve or Minerva hallmarks, the tiny number "1" within those marks means they're in .950 silver (95% pure and so above the .925 standard for "sterling" silver). All but the smaller spoon marked by the world renowned House of Puiforcat (now owned by Hermes, Paris, another name known for opulence.
Very good condition. Some slight surface scuffs, indicative of age and light use. The knife blade is pre-stainless so there is some darkened tarnish/corrosion marks. See pictures for all weights and measurements.
